ABOUT MASONRY RESOURCES
Masonry construction is the most widely used building technique in Florida due to its strength and durability in high-wind and hurricane-prone areas. To support contractors, engineers, and designers in their masonry construction projects, the Masonry Association of Florida (MAF) produces various resources, continuing education and tools that are available to aid in their planning and construction. One such resource, masonryresources.org, provides access to a range of tools including High-Wind Guide to Residential Masonry Construction, wind load calculators, concrete volume, block fill calculators, and much more. Additionally, there are links to ancillary websites for standards and various tech-notes regarding masonry construction, providing users with a comprehensive set of resources to ensure the success of their masonry projects.
